The panel "The university we need: strengthening international recognition through quality" formed the third day of the University Week on Tuesday, 7 November 2023, in the new premises of the University of Zagreb, in the building of the Regional Centre for the Development of Entrepreneurial Competences for the Countries of South-Eastern Europe – SEECEL. The event was organised with the aim of presenting activities and exchanging experiences between representatives of the faculties and academies of the University of Zagreb and representatives of other higher education institutions, current and future students and professionals from the fields of higher education, science and international cooperation.

Assoc. Prof. Marijana Serdar from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Zagreb shared her personal experience with internationalisation of teaching and research through mobility, scientific research projects and work with students. She welcomed the participants from Infobip, where members of her project team are completing a study visit. The training and cooperation with renowned foreign universities and research centres have provided her with a solid basis for developing her own projects and attracting international students. On this occasion, she emphasised the importance of implementing the GREENCO project, which aims to bridge the gap between education and the needs of industry and produce a skilled workforce equipped with the knowledge and tools for a greener future.
