Member of GREENCO took part in the PromoArh

From 18 to 21 September 2023, PromoArh took place in Poreč, a trade fair for spatial planning and construction challenges,which is also designed as an Education Point. The Education Point is designed as a place of professional development for visitors from the industry and aims to raise awareness of the importance of the profession, modern solutions and continuous education for everyone from designers and engineers to architects and builders. In cooperation with the nZEB cluster, Ivana Carević from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Zagreb gave a presentation entitled "Statements on the Environmental Impact of Building Products according to the European Standardisation Framework". The presentation covered the structure and role of European standards in the regulation of building products, the basic principles of sustainability, the concept of product life cycle and an explanation of what EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) is and how it is used to assess the environmental impact of products. In addition, the GREENCO project was presented, which provides educational opportunities for the correct application of environmental impact assessment tools and contributes to the development of professional skills in the field of sustainability in construction.
