GREENCO in synergy with RIS REAL project participates in Summer school

Šibenik, Croatia, 23 - 26 July 2024

NGO ODRAZ organized an event ‘The social innovation action for resilient community’ in Šibenik on July 23-26, 2024. The goal was to place the focus of students on relevant local societal needs and to recognize community problems and finding an appropriate sustainable solution for a specific case.

ODRAZ also raised public awareness of different targeted audience (education institutions, citizens, local authorities, SMEs, policy makers) on the topics of sustainability in the construction sector and increased overall visibility of project objectives and activities.

Three different workshops and a round table were held for 61 students and experts. Through 7 interdisciplinary and international teams, they worked on 5 city challenges and offered innovative and creative solutions.

The objective was to:

1) raise awareness of sustainability education and socially responsible action,

2) encourage resilience at social and community level through educated workforce,

3) promote occupations dealing with sustainability and green construction, to make vocational and training students more valuable in the labour market,

4) ensure a multidisciplinary approach to problem solving bringing together students of all educational levels and industries.

5) improve understanding and acceptance of sustainable and green construction.
